YAYAs organize their communities in support of farm workers, educating people and institutions about the conditions facing farm workers and mobilizing them to support their campaigns for justice.
Through our work, we build relationships with farm worker groups as well as leadership within our own organization.
YAYAs organize and participate in a diverse array of activities, such as letter writing campaigns, peaceful marches, lobbying, awareness events, bicycle drives, soccer games, immersion trips, research projects, and immigration trainings.
YAYA is unique in that we support national and local farm worker campaigns. To do our work, we depend on a community of allies that includes student groups, unions, and organizations that work on issues such as immigration, labor rights, environmental justice, human rights, and gender equality.
